Our cover illustration shows the small oratory, at first floor level, in the Grunthuse in Bruges. The oratory is arranged so that the oriel window at the end directly overlooks the high altar of the Church of Our Lady. Erected in the late fifteenth century the oratory was panelled and decorated in the mid-seventeenth
