Two sixteen-page Guides to
The Mind of Anglicans' Survey
undertaken in 2002

The Mind of Anglicans

by Dr Peter Brierley

What Church of England clergy and laity think about a wide range of aspects of church life and ministry

Using the statistics provided by the 2002 Cost of Conscience Survey Dr Peter Brierley analyses the attitudes and views of a large number of Anglican clergy and laity on a wide range of topics.

In this 16-page booklet, published jointly by Christian Research and Cost of Conscience,  these views are presented in the form of  tables and charts. The outstanding level of response (46% clergy, 76% laity) gives this survey particular value.

Believe it or not!

What Church of England clergy actually believe

In 2002 Cost of Conscience, in association with Christian Research, conducted a wide-ranging survey of Church of England clergy, which included their professed beliefs, moral and theological. The returns were both plentiful (46% of those approached) and deeply shocking.

In this 16-page booklet we present an analysis of some of the survey’s findings.
